Pizza Diavola (or Diavolo Pizza) is a fiery favorite from Italy, named after the Italian word for “devil” because of its spicy flavors. It’s loaded with spicy salami (like soppressata), hot chili peppers, mozzarella, and a zesty tomato base—perfect for anyone who loves bold heat and classic Italian taste.


🧾 Ingredients (For 1–2 Medium Pizzas)

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups ’00’ flour or all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Tomato Base:

  • 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes (San Marzano preferred)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Toppings:

  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded or sliced
  • 1/2 cup spicy salami (e.g., soppressata, pepperoni), sliced thin
  • 1–2 red chili peppers, sliced (or use chili flakes)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Extra virgin olive oil – for drizzling

🔹 Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit until frothy (5–10 minutes).
